The mountain is you. 01/07/26

You might not always know where you’re climbing to. Sometimes the thought of losing what you know can be a good reason to stay where you are. But the only way to truly grow and move on is to let go and conquer yourself. We put so much hurry into our lives. Slowing down and setting a true course of action to our goals is important. "If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable"-Seneca.  For myself I spent so much of my life with no true goal or end point that I wanted to reach. Setting true time aside for myself to plan, sit in thought, and break the ideas that are pushed on us from so many different aspects of life has helped me find the direction I needed to head. I think the line “the mountain is you” is applicable in so many different aspects of life. Fitness, family, relationships, work, self help, mental health you name it. The only true obstacle we need to overcome is ourselves. From there doors open for us.

“The greatest battle is not fought against the world, but within the soul.”- Søren Kierkegaard.  So many of us spend our lives believing fulfillment lies on the other side of external victories. Yet a bigger struggle is closer and quieter and much more demanding. It is the daily confrontation with our fear, ego, insecurities, and the stories we tell ourselves about who we are allowed to become. When we avoid the inner battle, the world becomes a place where we search for the answers. When the answers lie within us. When we face it, the world softens. Working on yourself is not about perfection, but honestly with your truth.

Discomfort has become a huge topic lately. Emotional, mental, physical whichever it may be, it often feels like a signal that something is wrong. Like something we need to fix or distract ourselves from. Yet growth asks the opposite. Sit with discomfort, find the source of the discomfort. It is a quiet form of courage, a form of courage that does not ask for immediate relief, but a deeper understanding of yourself. True fulfillment is not found in a life without discomfort, but one's ability to move through the current. Discomfort is not our enemy. It is the threshold. On the other side of it is a life lived with honesty, depth, and strength.

“Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you.” - Rumi
